geCKo Materials is proposing to overhaul the field of gripping technology by introducing a new dry adhesive that is lightweight, durable, consumes no energy like traditional grippers which use suction or electromagnets,, and has a high shear stress. It can be be mass-manufactured for the first time using our patented undercut metal molds. Its applications include grasping and adhering objects in space, and enabling drones to perch on vertical surfaces, allowing them to carry out surveillance for long periods without consuming battery life.
