Dr. Hooks was a victim of domestic violence from 19 years old to 54 years old; basically, her whole life was spent in abusive relationships. But today, God has totally delivered her out of the bondage of abuse by His grace and mercy and she gives Him all the glory. Now, Dr. Hooks is the Founder and CEO of The Lula McGrady Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) Christian based nonprofit organization and Abused Woman Ministries, Inc., a for-profit organization.
