RAN Biotechnologies provides chemicals specially optimized for biotechnological applications, focusing on: ¬ Materials for Microfluidics: specifically surfactants for droplet microfluidics as well as surface modifications (for inertness or selective immobilization of biological). ¬ Solid Media: specifically for vaccine purification (affinity chromatography resins) and for Rapid Microbe Detection Regarding the Materials for Microfluidics business, we develop surfactants and surface coatings to stabilize droplets in microfluidics, of interest to such experiments as PCR reactions, cell analysis and drug screening. Regarding the Solid Media business, we develop insoluble resins capable of selectively capturing and controllably releasing biologicals, of interest to sterilization of fluids or purification of vaccine, and in purification of proteins for therapeutics. Moreover, we are developing solid media for detecting the presence of microbes based on color intensities.
