SenSigmaLLC focuses on developing reliable, in-situ optical monitoring and feedback system to maintain high quality, defect free weld in various manufacturing, including additive manufacturing (AM) processes, arc/plasma welding, cladding and cutting, and resultant products by analyzing lights associated with the process. We call it the Smart Optical Monitoring System (SOMS). SOMS is a breakthrough technology with Global Industrial and R&D Impact for fabrication processes emitting light such as 3-D printing, welding and plasma processing. SOMS has abilities for in-situ characterization of defects such as porosity, composition, and phase transformation for the fabrication processes from the emitted light without any physical contact.
