Baird provides professional engineering design and technical services for waterfront structures on oceans, lakes and rivers. Our projects involve flood control, navigation, marine terminal, coastal storm/ flood risk management, and ecosystem restoration and mitigation. We are highly skilled at numerical modeling of current and future conditions within riverine, coastal, and estuarine environments. Our experience spans initial fieldwork and studies through design and construction. We have been recognized for the successful completion of innovative and practical projects for various USACE Districts and repeatedly receive positive CPARS. Founded over 40 years ago, Baird is a small business with 90 staff which include structural and civil engineers specialized in waterfront structures, coastal engineers, landscape architects, coastal scientists, geomorphologists, numerical modelers, navigation assessment experts, coastal hazard and risk assessors, and CAD technicians.
